My name is Terrence McDonnell and, thanks to Gamkedo, I'm a game developer. I began my journey in August 2017. I am looking for freelance work making games in JS/HTML5.

Chop Chop, Chop-Chop!


A top down adventure game where Chop-Chop fulfills
their goal of chopping down all the trees they can find.

Excalibur S.D.S.


A wave based shooter where the Excalibur Space Defence System must defend multiple areas from a coordinated attack from invading aliens.
Made as a Gamkedo Team Project
from November, 2017 to Feburary, 2018

Contributions:

  • Implemented movement/collision mechanics, visuals and SFX for
    wave shot, laser shot, and missile strike.
  • Mechanic of spawning waves/enemies
  • Created Orchestrator mode for creating waves
  • Two player and Carnage modes designed and coded
  • Background art for two levels and other assets

Mage Hook


A top down adventure game where a mage explores an old dungeon
in a quest to cure their undeath.
Made as a Gamkedo Team Project
from August to November, 2017

  • Implemented room change/editor code as well as level design for a majority of rooms
  • Enemies drop tile on death and boss door lock
  • Tint sprite and lose health over time for poison mechanic
  • Implemented cardinal direction spell and one dimensional ray-casting

Dream Racer


Race against the clock, all around the world, in this retro inspired driving game.
Made as a Gamkedo Team Project
from May to July, 2018

  • Pixel art for road signs and billboards throughout game (over 28 designs)
  • Checkpoint code for more race time and UI display
  • Animation code for various animated sprites in game
  • Track design for three levels:
    Night City Skyline, Forest Cruise, and Summit Descent

Death Road to McGamkedonald's


Help the hippogryph get to McGamkedonald's before they close! Navigate the track, pick up food, and cook it to increase your fuel.
A mash-up of top down racing and pong.
My first game jam (Ludum Dare 41)! Done as a team project.

Ghosts in Neo Tokyo


A side scrolling action platformer where a young man must fight off all the ghosts in
Neo Tokyo to help his family's karaage stand.
